Friends & Flowers - You make me happy....

We have another project to share today featuring the Friends & Flowers stamp set.  This is a tall and skinny card with a cute kitty to make you smile.

The finished size of the card is 3-1/2" x 6-1/2".  The background DSP is from the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack and the word banner is from the Perfect Pennants stamp set.

My project today is another Fine Feathers card.  I think the peacock feather in this set is fabulous, so I wanted to use it in a couple ways. 

Just a touch of gold helps to make this card elegant.  I'm loving the Gold Foil Sheets.  

The feather was stamped in Gumball Green ink, then I used a Blender Pen and some Elegant Eggplant ink to add a few whisps of the purple.  I colored in the center of the feather with markers.

FIne Feathers....again.

Here is the 3 project from the Fine Feather's class.  Can you tell it's Fine Feather's Week?  HA! This is one of my favorites from the class.  We stamped one of the images three times, alternating directions.  We used the Blender Pens to shade inside the feather with the ink already on the image (Cajun Craze).  Each feather was "colored" with the 2-Way Glue Pen and has Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on it.

The holes were punched with the Crop-a-dile through all the top layers, so only the bottom layer showed through. 

On this close up, you can see we highlighted underneath each feather shaft with a darker line of Cajun Craze ink, then created a shadow effect under each feather with a Blender Pen and Sahara Sand ink.  Don't you love that Glitter?!

Today's project is a fun birthday card using some awesome new products from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

The filmstrip framelit is from the new On Film Framelits Dies.  This set also comes with a Polaroid die and little camera die - too cute!!!  The sequins are pulled off our Gold Sequin Trim for a little glamour and sparkle.  The sentiment is from the new Perfect Pennants stamp set and colored with markers.  I love this set and it coordinates with the Banner Framelits Dies.

Isn't this die awesome?!  Here's a tip though - use a little wax paper between the die and the card stock for easy release.
