Oh my goodness, I'm getting behind already!  Well, not in my classes, but in my posts and I promised to do better.  I've been working hard at getting all the projects designed for the Stamporee on February 1st and only have 4 left to finish.  I've also made my sample wreath for the Wreath Kit class on the 23rd of this month.  So - I'm getting some things accomplished.  I'll be taking some photos in the next day or so and posting them, however, until I can get that done, I wanted to share another great new item in the Occasions Mini Catalog - the Celebration suite of products.

Items in the suite include the Celebration Basics Kit (banner pieces with die cut letters, twine, goodie bags, closures and tags), the Simply Celebrate stamp set (set of 3), Invitations (10 invitations and envelopes), and optional Add-On kits (streamers, garland, die-cut accents, DSP, and a Spritzer) in two color sets.  Here's the best part - Remember when we started our banner classes with Celebrate Banners back in August?  These are almost the same 2 color schemes as I offered in the class!!! Am I on trend or what!?  LOL!!!!!!!!

Here's a video on all the contents and the pricing for the kits follow that.  ENJOY!

New Stampin'Up! video and wreaths!

I am really loving the new Spiral Flower Originals Dies in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Here are a couple wreaths I made last month:

This is a large wreath made on a 14" Styrofoam wreath base.  It took a full pack of Real Red card stock.

I made a lot of smaller flowers to fill in the gaps after all the large roses were glued on.  To make the smaller roses, I just cut the spirals in have to make 2 flowers.
TIP #1 - Wrap your wreath in the same color fabric or paper that you're using for your flowers so the wreath base doesn't show through.  This was my first attempt and I didn't do that, but will from now on.

This was the second project I made with the die.  I used an entire paperback book to make this 10" wreath.

It's hard to tell from the photo, but I sprayed Champagne Shimmer mist over the wreath, as well as sponged the edges of the flowers with it.
TIP #2:  It's VERY helpful to have a quilling tool to roll the flowers (available at your local craft store).

Steps:
1.  Purchase wreath, then wrap with either paper, ribbon or fabric in the color of the flowers.
2.  Die cut flowers (you can get 6 flowers from 1 sheet of card stock or 1 flower from a paperback book page).
3.  Twirl flowers tightly starting from the outside end.  Fold flap for bottom and hot glue together.
4.  Hot glue flowers to wreath base.  I started on the inside then worked my way out.

Here's an awesome video by Stampin'Up! showing a couple more projects and the die in action.  Remember - if you're going to make a lot of these, purchase a quilling tool!

Today I wanted to share this adorable snowman frame that we made at Christmas in July.  The frame is 3-1/2" x 5-1/2".  The snowman is stamped off once then stamped on the project in Smoky Slate ink.

Isn't he cute?!
An extra layer of card stock covered in 2-Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter adds a sparkly, snowy touch.  The words were stamped on the DSP.
Supplies used:  Snow Day stamp set (131895), Season of Style DSP (132340), 2-Way Glue Pen (100425), Dazzling Diamonds Glitter (102023), Ovals Collection Framelits Dies (129381), Card Stock - Whisper White, Real Red, Red Glimmer Paper, Inks - Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie, Black StazOn.
Snow Day Clear-mount Stamp Set
Snow Day Clear-Mount Stamp Set131895
Price$18.95
Unlike a snowman made primarily of snow, a paper snowman:
* Doesn't require actual snow.
* Won't make your hands cold.
* Won't slowly melt into a sad little puddle.
Create a snowman. Create a snowman army. The sky's the limit!
Set quantity: 12

Are you interested in learning how to make handmade paper and fabric flowers?  Of course you are!  You can learn how by taking my Flower Class on August 18th.  You will learn how to make several different paper and fabric flowers.  The deadline to register is August 13th and the cost is $12 per person.  You can find more details on my calendar here.  You can view a few of the flowers we'll be making on yesterday's post on the Box of Awesomeness.

Here are a few of the holiday projects we made at the Christmas in July event.

Framed artwork using several new items from the Holiday Mini - Gumball Green Core'dinations Card Stock, Stampin' Sanding System, Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder, Evergreen stamp set.

Kraft box with Designer Series paper, new Scalloped Tulle Ribbon and rosettes.

Christmas tags in a Petite Pocket holder.

A quick and easy Christmas card using some DSP and Baker's Twine.

I'm on a roll now.  Two in a row, can you believe it?!  I wanted to share more of the swaps I participated in at Convention.  This card was for the SUDSOL (Stampin'Up! Demonstrators Sharing Online) Card Front Swap.  Supplies include:  Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry card stock, Floral District DSP, Everything Eleanor and Word Play stamp sets, Rich Razzleberry ink, and a Pearl Basic Jewel.  I also made several of these for general swaps.  It's always good to do double duty if possible.

This is another general swap I made.  Supplies:  Baja Breeze, Basic Black & Whisper White card stock, Silver Glimmer Paper, the new Snow Flurry Bigz Die from the Holiday Mini Catalog, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch and a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.  The verse is from the More Merry Messages stamp set.

My favorite swap of the week was the SUDSOL Gift Exchange during our luncheon on Friday.  It's not only my favorite because this was my favorite thing to make (which it was), but because there were some wonderful projects from some very talented ladies.  I decided to make a Christmas shadow box framed art piece.

Thursday evening was the Awards Night, followed by the After Party.  The party included dancing and some great snacks.  Yes, we even managed to get Janet to dance.

We also received a sneak peek at the August recruiting promotion.  Everyone who signs up during the month of August as a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator will receive a FREE Spooktacular Project Kit.
