Today's card is from one of our newest Crew Stampers, Vicky Collins.  Vicky loves owls so she decided to make this adorable owl card for our last Demonstrator card swap.

I love his expression!  The card base was made with the Envelope Punch Board and the rest was made using dies and punches.  Love this card - Adorable!!!!

Holiday takes on Lovely as a Tree and Mosaic Madness!

Our wonderful guest stampers today are a  Demonstrator sister duo and Crew Stampers.  Our first card is from Janet Hathcoat and features the Lovely as a Tree stamp set (an oldie but a goody).

I love the background trees that are embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  

Our Pearl Basic Jewels can be colored with a Sharpie or our new Blendability Markers.

Our second project today is from Demonstrator Christal Schalk.  Christal used the Mosiac Madness stamp set, thinking outside the box.

I love how she used different shades of green, then arranged the punched images in the shape of a Christmas Tree.

SUDSOL New Catalog Blog Tour!!!!

Today I'm showcasing some of our new stamp sets and products.  When I first saw this Boys Will Be Boys stamp set, this is the card I pictured in my mind.  I love how the Gorgeous Grunge set makes a cammo background with only 2 colors of ink and the image lets me color a bit with our new Blendabilities Markers - woohoo!!!

I used the Old Olive and Skin Tone Assortment for my parachute army guy.

The Lovely As A Tree set is an oldie, but a goody. Those tree tops give it just the right umph!

My next card uses the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.  This one struck me as Art Deco, so I used silver and black for my color theme (I'm not really a gold girl, but it would look striking in gold and black too).  Kinda Eclectic is one of my favorite top 10 new stamp sets.

The dots on the bottom of the card were inked in Basic Gray and stamped off once for that silver tone.  I also used Silver EP for the starburst and butterfly.

The tag piece uses the Scallop Tag Topper Punch with the White CS cuts at 3-5/8" x 1-1/8" and the Black CS cut at 3-3/4" x 1-1/4" and both ends centered in the punch for a smaller, layered tag.  

I just added a bit of Black StazOn ink on the pearls for a little more pop.

My 3rd project is a CASE of my card just above this.  I just wanted to show how you can take almost the same card, change out the colors and move it around a bit and get a whole new look.

This card using the same CS measurements, but different colors and a bit of a change in the layout.  

I used both butterfly images in the stamp set for this one.

Today's project is from CrEW stamper Michele Murphy.  Michele made this adorable Christmas Card using the Wonderful Wreath stamp from the Holiday Mini Catalog and the Lovely as a Tree set from the regular catalog.  The words are from the More Merry Messages stamp set on our carry over list.

I love how the card looks like you're looking out a window.  

Michele took some Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon and died it with the Cherry Cobbler ink refills.  She also cut out the wreath and added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels for make it pop.  Beautiful!!

So many great things, and so little time.....where do I begin?

I'll be sending out my monthly newsletter this weekend with all the September events and specials. My two middle daughters, Katie and Jackie, moved into their dorms a couple weeks ago.  The house has definitely been quieter with them gone, although they only live about 8 minutes away and seem to stop by for food, supplies, laundry or attention every other day.  I made them each a card with a goodie bag.  I found some of their school paper and decided to use it on a card.

These cards are for my four wheeler fans out there.  This card was designed by Sally Jernigan from Ohio.  I mounted the card front on a Early Espresso card base to give it a little more weight.

Sally used the Lovely as a Tree stamp set for the background, and some sponging for coloring the background and to define the edges of the dirt.

My final showcase of the Lovely as a Tree stamp set features 2 Christmas cards.  The first one is by JaLynn Kuo.

The trees were once again, heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  She used 3 of our Rhinestone Basic Jewels to accent the card, and the Scallop Trim Border punch for the Whisper White layer.  

Here's a close up look at the Shimmer Mist she sprayed on the card.  It really makes it sparkle.

To make a shimmer spray, take a 1oz spray bottle, fill it most of the way with rubbing alcohol and add 8-10 drops of your choice of Shimmer Paint.  I prefer the Champagne Mist, but I have them in all 3 colors and have used them all - gorgeous!  Remember to label your bottles, then shake well before using.

The second card uses a fun dryer sheet technique.

The pine tree was stamped multiple times on Whisper White card stock, not re-inking each time to give the forest depth.  The words were also stamped on the card stock.  I used Basic Black ink.  

The used dryer sheet (I used Bounce), was layered over this, then the ribbon and embellishment were added.  

To make the dryer sheet layer, I took a used dryer sheet (Bounce), ironed it flat, used spray adhesive on one side, then attached that side to the stamped card stock.  Trim to the same size, then brush on Dazzling Diamonds glitter over the top.  Make sure you brush all loose glitter back into the bottle.  The glitter will stick in the dryer sheet where the adhesive is leaking through and that's all you need to do.  It doesn't show quite as well in the photo, but the shine is beautiful - and - you help the environment by recycling!

Both these cards use different methods of adding bling to their holidays.

Today's sample of Lovely as a Tree is a fall card.

The image and words were stamped in Versamark Ink, then heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  

The image was stamped and heat embossed on Glossy White Card Stock, then sponged and blended (or you could use a multi colored pad and brayer).  

One of the great things about our Glossy Card Stock is that the ink doesn't immediately dry, so you have time to blend your colors.  This is a fantastic project to use for sponging.
