The Crew Quarters

My final showcase of the Lovely as a Tree stamp set features 2 Christmas cards.  The first one is by JaLynn Kuo.

The trees were once again, heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  She used 3 of our Rhinestone Basic Jewels to accent the card, and the Scallop Trim Border punch for the Whisper White layer.  

Here's a close up look at the Shimmer Mist she sprayed on the card.  It really makes it sparkle.

To make a shimmer spray, take a 1oz spray bottle, fill it most of the way with rubbing alcohol and add 8-10 drops of your choice of Shimmer Paint.  I prefer the Champagne Mist, but I have them in all 3 colors and have used them all - gorgeous!  Remember to label your bottles, then shake well before using.

The second card uses a fun dryer sheet technique.

The pine tree was stamped multiple times on Whisper White card stock, not re-inking each time to give the forest depth.  The words were also stamped on the card stock.  I used Basic Black ink.  

The used dryer sheet (I used Bounce), was layered over this, then the ribbon and embellishment were added.  

To make the dryer sheet layer, I took a used dryer sheet (Bounce), ironed it flat, used spray adhesive on one side, then attached that side to the stamped card stock.  Trim to the same size, then brush on Dazzling Diamonds glitter over the top.  Make sure you brush all loose glitter back into the bottle.  The glitter will stick in the dryer sheet where the adhesive is leaking through and that's all you need to do.  It doesn't show quite as well in the photo, but the shine is beautiful - and - you help the environment by recycling!

Both these cards use different methods of adding bling to their holidays.
