10 Days of Halloween .... day 7!

Our project today is a fun treat bag made with the Envelope Punch Board.  We're actually making a similar bag with a fall theme for our workshops this month.  I thought it would be fun to show another sample for Halloween.  I used a 6" x 6" piece of Halloween Night Designer Series Paper, then punched and scored at 1-3/8" and 4" on one side, then rotated to each side and punched and scored twice, lining up with the existing score lines.  The handles are 1" circles punched out.  I tied a little of the Halloween Night Baker's Twine on the handle.  The words and bats are from the Spooky Fun Bundle.

An Awesomely Artistic Z Fold Card...

Today's "awesome" project is from our very own "awesome" Crew Stamper, JoAnn Graham.  She created this beautiful Z fold card using the Awesomely Artistic stamp set - say that 3 times fast!

This the card view when it comes out of the envelope.  I love the Honeycomb embossed card stock for the font. 

Here is the card slightly open.  The frame around the word "friend" is heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. A little strip of Calypso Coral card stock brings out the centers of the flowers.  

This is the card open - lots of room to write and I love how the dragon fly image shows even with the card closed, but the words are only seen when it's fully open.  Awesome!

JoAnn stamped this flowers, then color them all by hand and even cut out a few and popped them up AND ADDED GLITTER!!!  I'm only giving this to someone really special!

February Paper Pumpkin!

I received my February Paper Pumpkin kit in the mail yesterday and couldn't wait to open it.  This is one of the very few times I looked at the project and thought "eh...".  So, I went ahead and put together one of the cards according to the sample.  Here is the kit and the sample included:

The kit came with supplies to make 8 accordion fold thank you cards.  The envelopes are adorable little boxes.  I loved that the kit came with 2 Stampin' Spots, and the stamp set is good too.

As I was looking at the kit, thinking of other uses, I had an epiphany!  I decided to cut the 8 paneled card down to 4 sections of 2 panels each.  This made 4 2-3/4"x 3-3/4" little gift cards!  YAY!!!  I made 4 envelopes for a 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 card which fit these perfectly!

These cards used only the supplies in the kit this month (except for the envelopes made with the Envelope Punch Board).  They fit just right in the little box.  

Here is another set, but I used some words, ink and sequins from the December Paper Pumpkin kit.

Today's project is this adorable basket made with the Envelope Punch Board.  I started with an 8" x 8" piece of Primrose Petals CS for the basket and a 1/2" x 11" strip for the handle.

I've used the Flower Shop stamp set and Pansy Punch for the flowers.  They were colored with the new Daffodil Delight Blendabilities Markers.  I used a bit of 2-Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter for the center.

Today's project is a cute coin envelope using the Envelope Punch Board.  

Here's the front of the envelope. 

Here's a little close up.  I just tied a bow in some Linen Thread and added it with a glue dot.  The words are from the Yippee-Skippee stamp set.  I'm loving how the new catalog has a word index with these stamp sets so you can find what you're looking for in a snap!

Here's the back of the closure.  Trimming off the pointy flaps gives this the correct look for a coin envelope.  I also love this type of closure, isn't it fun?

The brads go through the DSP, so I've added some circle on the back so your card (or money) won't be dented or scratched by the back of the brads.  

To make these coin envelopes, I used a 6" x 6" piece of DSP.  I punched and scored it (with the Envelope Punch Board) on one side at 2-5/8", then on the other 3 sides, I lined up the pointer with the scored line, then punched and scored.  After you punch and score on all 4 sides, crease your lines, then trim 7/8" from the top and bottom flaps (the smaller flaps), fold in the sides and trim one so it will have a straight edge, then glue together (make sure you don't get glue on the inside).  The outside circles for the closure are 1/2" and the inside circles are 3/4".  Tie a piece of Linen Thread around one of the brads, underneath the 1/2" circle, and trim off the short end, then wrap around other brad in a figure eight.

Big News for My Digital Studio & spool cards!

My Digital Studio is undergoing some changes, so I wanted to give you a heads up.  We are switching to a new print vendor in June, so ordering will be shut off on May 30 for about 2 weeks.  I'll post when it's back up and running.  Because of the switch, a few products will be retiring or changing.  Are are the discontinued items:

FLOWER SHOP STAMP BRUSH SET - DIGITAL DOWNLOAD Price: $4.95 OUR HAPPY PHOTOBOOK TEMPLATE - DIGITAL DOWNLOAD  Price: $14.95 Today I wanted to share a couple of cards I demonstrated in our Envelope Punch Board Part 2 class.  These are so stinking cute, I can't stand it.  I think those of you who sew will agree (and probably those who don't will too).  I made a full size card and a smaller gift card.  They both open from the bottom.   Both cards were made using Baked Brown Sugar card stock.  I used the White Chalk Marker to draw a solid line around the spool shape.  Some retired DSP, retiring ribbon and accessories finish off the front of the card.  The card stock was cut at 3-3/4" x 11", folded in half and then punched with the Envelope Punch Board through the double thickness.  I punched from all 4 corners along the long sides at 1-3/8" then cut out the center pieces. The words are from our new Alphabet Rotary Stamp found on page 191 in the new catalog.   This cute mini card was cut at 2-1/2" x 6", then folded in half.  I punched from all 4 corners on the longer sides with the EPB at 1", then trimmed out the center pieces.  I used the chalk marker to make the border.
