I haven't posted in a few days, so I have to apologize for that.  Had a little fall backwards in the driveway on Saturday, which was mostly stupidity on my part and a little bad luck.  I bruised my lower back and can't sit or stand for too long and it's really frustrating.  My sister also visited this weekend, than I missed the ASU game Saturday because I couldn't walk, so "blah, blah, blah...". I've got a couple more cards from our swaps to share with you.  The first is from Demonstrator Kathy VanAntwerp who has recently moved to the area and we were so happy she could come and meet everyone.

Kathy used the Chalk Talk Framelits to make her focal point and I love how she trimmed her card corners to mimic the tag.

Our second card is from Demonstrator Brenda Fasulo.  Brenda used a combination of our retired sets for her swap:

The card is just loaded with bling!  She used the retired Paper Doily Sizzlits and Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack on the Silver Glimmer Paper, along with a few touches of Dazzling Details.  

The ornament was stamped with the retired Christmas Collectibles set and cut out with the coordinating punch.  It's hard to tell from the photo, but the blue card stock was embossed with the new Lovely Lace Embossing Folder.

Today I have an adorable holiday gift bag to show you.  We made these at our November workshops.  The bag is a small white craft bag from the store.  I had my husband cut one of my old cutting pads in half, so I could fit it in the bag.  I then used the Labels Collection Framelits and Big Shot to cut the hole, then put in the acetate DSP inside the bag to cover the hole.

It's always a wise idea to add a little Glimmer Paper to your holiday project.

I also wanted to share a few of the Girl Scout activities we've had going on the past week.

Four of my girls were awarded recognition for helping with our Council's Oral History Project.  Two other's in the troop earned the awards as well, but were unable to attend.  I almost started crying again - jeez!  It's their last year (for most of them) and I keep getting teary eyed.  They said they would come back and come to meetings during their college breaks.  

Our last Christmas Parade.  Yes, our float is very, very small - lol!  But we put it together a couple of hours before the parade. Sometimes you just need to improvise.  We had fun, even on our jammed packed little trailer.  Ah,l the memories....

Our last Christmas Party - tears forming in my eyes.  We ate tons of food, planned to start t-shirt quilts after the holidays and gave out secret santa gifts.  My other leaders and I gave each of the girls a towel with their initial embroidered on it in their favorite color.  I love these girls and am going to miss them terribly.  Some of the girls have been in the troop for 12 years and most of them for at least 8 years.  I'm very happy and proud of them for staying in the Girl Scout program through high school graduation.  Not too many people at their age can say they've been part of a service organization for so many years, almost their whole life!

Today is the final day of the Delightful Decorations showcase!  I saved my favorite project for last.  This is a gorgeous card using Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Summer Starfruit and Silver Glimmer Paper. 

Don't you love the Peace On Earth saying?  It's from the Greetings of the Season in the Holiday Mini. 

The JOY ornament was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder.  You wouldn't normally thing of Summer Starfruit as a holiday color, but it looks fantastic with the black and silver.  I used White Baker's Twine to hang the ornaments.

 Today, I made a couple of mini ornaments using the Ornament Punch and the Delightful Decorations stamp set.  I stamped and punched 8 ornaments to make the Cherry Cobbler polka dot ornament and then just punched 8 ornaments using Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper for the second ornament.  These ornaments measure about 1-7/8" wide x 1-3/4" high (not including the string).  Just fold each ornament in half (good sides together), and then glue the wrong sides together.  Don't forget to put the string in the center before gluing the final 2 sides!

I added 2 Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons before putting the twine in the center of the ornament.  You could also dangle more buttons from the bottom if desired.

I bought a video camera a couple weeks ago and taped the band at the game Tuesday night.  It was my first time using the camera, but I uploaded the video, then burned a copy to a CD for the director.  I didn't even need the kids to help me - lol!   Hopefully, I can tape and edit a couple tutorials for you this weekend.  Stay tuned (but don't hold your breath - just in case).  

This fun pocket card was made using Pool Party and Midnight Muse - a couple of our In Colors.  The "Deck the Halls..." verse is from the Merry and Type stamp set on page 13 of the Catalog.  Of course, I also used the Delightful Decorations stamp set for the ornament and the circle accent on the ribbon. 

The card measures 5-1/2" x 4-1/4", but cut your card stock at 5-1/2" x 7", then score at 4-1/4" and 6-1/4", then use either the Scallop Edge Border Punch or the Adorning Accents Edgelits Die (as shown here) to make a scallop edge.  The DSP is from the Comfort Cafe pack.  

The inside card measures 4" x 5".  The Whisper White card stock is  4-3/4" x 3-3/4".  The DSP is cut to 5-3/8" x  1-3/4"

I love how just a few Rhinestones and a bit of Glimmer Paper can make a card pop!

John built these 2 display boards for me years ago and the original intent was to use velcro to display the cards, but I went with a clothesline style of hanger and I think we were able to put more on the display and not ruin anything by putting sticky velcro on the back.   Here's Laura. Today's project is a scrapbook page using the Delightful Decorations stamp set and Ornament Punch.

There are so many variations you can make with the ornaments and punch that I had a hard time stopping with the ornaments.  I almost didn't leave room for a photo!

Don't you love the Glimmer Paper?!  Silver is my favorite - you can't tell can you?

The smaller images in the set can give you a lot of different ornaments.  I also love the Baker's Twine.  I used Cherry Cobbler to hang my ornaments.  The top scallops on the page use the Tasteful Trim Die and the Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP.
