Today's card uses a couple stamp sets from the 2014-2015 Catalog and an embossing folder.  This makes a lovely anniversary, wedding, thank you or birthday card depending on which stamp you use from the Label Love stamp set.

The larger piece of Pistachio Pudding card stock was embossed with the Beautifully Baroque folder, then brayered over with Pistachio ink.

The filigree image from the Chalk Talk stamp set makes a great background for the punched piece.  A little Pistachio Thick Baker's Twine and a couple Rhinestones add a little extra elegance.

Happy Easter, Prom and a gift card holder!

Happy Easter everyone!  I hope you had a safe and happy weekend.  My sister came up from Little Rock and we had a nice quiet weekend, lots of food, Captain America this afternoon and some game playing.  Samantha also had her junior prom Saturday night, so I wanted to share some photos!  Isn't she beautiful?
The prom theme was the Great Gatsby and I thought her gold dress fit right in with the time period.  I made the wrap and matching clutch.  Yes, I can sew, but don't tell our band directors!!!

Samantha and her date/boyfriend, Joe.

What a handsome couple!!
After our house, we took photos at one of the boys grandparents house on a lake - very pretty!

This is a very special group of friends!

The whole group.  They actually stayed at prom for almost 2 hours.  I think that's longer than the older three stayed in all 6 years, combined!

Stay tuned tomorrow for the retiring list (all stamps and supplies will only be available while supplies last).  PLUS - FREE SHIPPING ON EVERYTHING APRIL 21-25TH!!!!!

Today's project is from CrEW stamper Mary Harvey.  Mary made this adorable and versatile gift card holder for our Demonstrator swap last week.
Each pocket is sized to use with a gift card.  The 3 envelopes were made with the Envelope Punch Board. The top pocket has a rose, a tag and a little ribbon.

The second pocket has a couple of our Large Rhinestone Jewels.

The 3rd pocket has a tag with a little Silver Glimmer bling.

I love that these go nicely together with a key ring and some Summer Starfruit 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. Um, Mary.... I may have to "borrow" this idea for the Christmas event this summer!!!

Supplies used:

Last week, I had my downline meeting with our local Stampin'Up! Demonstrators.  This is a little gift I made for my helpers that night.

We have some fabulous packing products now and this is one of the Decorative Window Gift Boxes from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  It already has the window and the adorable border already printed.  I've included a roll of Washi Tape, some of the new Gold and Silver Baker's Twine and some Hershey Nuggets wrapped in the Watercolor Wonder DSP.

The cute tag is made with the Chalk Talk stamp set and dies, a couple circle punches, and a few of the smallest Pearls.  I've tied it all up with some Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon.

Another Sneak Peek card!  This card was made for one of my downline members, Martha Anderson.  She just celebrated her 6th year as a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator.  Way to go Martha!!!

The card front uses the new In Color, Pistachio Pudding.  Why is it almost always food related?  What are they trying to tell us?  I now have a craving for Pistachio Pudding.   I've also used the new Wildflower Meadow embossing folder.
The words are from the new Chalk Talk stamp set, embossed on Black CS using Versamark and White Embossing Powder.  I made that flower embellishment myself - can you believe it?!  It's easy with our new Simply Pressed Clay and molds.  We'll make making a couple of these at the New Catalog Workshop and Party on June 1st - sign up now!  Is that new ribbon you see?  Nope, it's our Whisper White Organza Ribbon, but I've used the new Gingham Stampin' Around Wheel on it with Black StazOn ink.  Too cool!
I hope everyone is as excited out our new products as I am and I'm looking forward to sharing them with you!

So our next year end activity was band awards.  Both Jackie and Samantha and their friends received several awards.

Here are Samantha (right) and her friend Mikayla.  They won outstanding Sophmores for the Concert Band.  Samantha also won an All Region award and a service award.

Here's Jackie and Patrick.  They won the outstanding Senior awards.

Here's Joey (Jackie's boyfriend).  He was recognized for being selected to the All-American Band, All Region, All State, John Phillip Sousa Award and more.  Great job!

Here are the two of them together with their stacks of awards.  Jackie was recognized for her outstanding work as Field Commander this year, service to the band and All Region.  Her director switched her over from trumpet to euphonium this fall and after only a couple months of playing, she made first chair in the All Region Band - way to go Jackie!

2013-2014 Catalog Sneak Peek!  This card uses some of our new products from the catalog coming out on May 31st - woohoo!!!!  I made this last week for my friends birthday, but wanted to make sure she got it before this posted.  Happy Birthday Mary!

I've used the new Chalk Talk stamp set, the card front is Strawberry Slush (a new In Color) and it's embossed with the new Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder.

Is that new DSP too?  Yes!  It's actually a clear sheet of acetate with the white mosaic pattern printed on it.  I've backed it with a piece of Basic Black card stock.  Any color would work - how versatile!
As we continue with our year end festivities, our last GS leader meeting of the year was also last week.  We honored our leaders, Gold, Silver and Bronze award winners and graduating seniors.  Most of my troop is graduating this year and we had two of our girls win Girl Scout Scholarships.

I'm here with Jana Washam receiving the 2013 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Spirit of Girl Scouts Award for our service unit.  I also received the Elastigirl Award - lol!

Amor, myself and Jackie.  They received a $2000 scholarship each from the Girl Scouts and Faith Mullins.
Our graduating seniors (2 were missing from the photo). We had 10 girls who made it through the 12 grade as Girl Scouts.  I'm really going to miss them.  I've made them promise to come back and we'll have a meeting during their Christmas break.
