Cards for girls...

Today I have two projects designed for girls.  The first one is for a younger girl, but to be fair, any girl would enjoy this fun card. I used the Amazing Birthday and It's Wild stamp sets.

The colors used are Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo.  I added a strip of Vellum Card stock to help soften up that bold zebra print a bit, then embellished with a little Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim and Whisper White Baker's Twine.  This is just a fun, bright card.  

The second card is for a teenager.  I wasn't too sure about the colors, but Samantha said they were perfect and on trend, so there you go.  I used the new Beautiful Ride stamp set and the Balloon Bouquet Punch.  The words are from the Happy Happenings stamp set.

I used Bermuda Bay, Shimmery White and Blushing Bride card stock.  The car was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with Black powder.  The car was watercolored with Bermuda Bay and Basic Gray ink.  It's hard to tell from the photo, but I used the Gorgeous Grunge set to create a little texture on the card base.  I love the balloons punched from Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper, Silver Foil, Love Blossoms DSP and Cherry on Top DSP.  The strings were drawn in.  The inside says "Let the celebration of your fabulousness begin!)  Love it!

Cards for boys...

I have two cards for boys to share with you today.  The first one is for a younger boy.  I love dinosaurs, Jurassic Park movies, etc., so I really enjoyed coming up with this card.  It features the No Bones About It photopolymer stamp set.

Colors used: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Tip Top Taupe and Whisper White.  This is a great use of some of the 18 stamps in this set.  I also used a bit of the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack.  Who would love getting this card?  Me!!!

Our second card today is more for a teen and features a Pokemon ball.  No, most adults don't really get it, but trust me, the kids do.

I had shown this to my youngest and it was her favorite (she's 18).  I had her help me think of words to go with the card and she picked out "adventure bound".  The story is about a boy going on a Pokemon adventure, so it fits perfectly.  The inside of the card says "life is good - happy birthday".  I used the 2-1/2", 3/4", 1/2" and Owl Builder Punch to make all the circles.  I used the Simply Scored Tool to make the raised lines on the White card stock.  The words are from the Project Life Remember This stamp set.  That's one of my favorite PL items.

Weekly Deals andrti Hello Kitty!

We're on our second snow day in a row (with the roads covered in ice) and I've been stuck in the house with Samantha and the cat.  It has been both annoying and entertaining.  They are both extremely bored and want to pick on me.   I spent the whole day yesterday getting my taxes done - woohoo!  Today I plan to do a little stamping, clean my craft room and who knows what else.  We had to postpone the calendar class (AGAIN) to Monday, so I'm hoping we're good to go for that date.  I have workshops Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, so I'm hoping we're still on schedule for those.  For those attending the Gift Card class next week, I ordered the stamp sets today and have all the projects cut and ready to go!

Today's card is from CREW Stamper Janet Hathcoat.  This is an awesome kid's card featuring a punch art Elmo.

Although my photo is a little fuzzy (much like Elmo in real life), Elmo is layered on an piece of Daffodil Delight embossed card stock.  The dots were embossed with another SAB item, the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.
