Cake 3 Ways...

Today I wanted to share cake with you - 3 ways!  Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too, just make sure to invite me.

The first cake is an adorable 4" x 4" cupcake card from Crew Stamper Kathy Weston.

I love the fun color combo with the florals for this feminine card. 

Supplies used:
Sprinkles of Life and Awesomely Artistic stamp sets
Cupcake Builder, 3/4" Circle, 1" Circle and 1/4" Circle Punches (ret. flower punch)
Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Pool Party, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow card stock, English Garden Designer Series Paper
Stampin' Write Markers, Mossy Meadow and Melon Mambo ink
Pearl Basic Jewels and retired embossing folder

Our layer cake is a fun popped out card using the Build-a-birthday stamp set.

The colors used were Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Soft Suede.  The fringe was cut with the Fringe Scissors.  

Each of the cake layers was stamped on scrap white card stock, then trimmed out leaving the ends about 1/2" longer than the image.  We folded back the ends, then glued the ends down so the image would pop out a bit.

And for the finale, we have a slice of cake using the new Cutie Pie Thinlits Dies.

I love the coordinating Sweet Stack stamp set that goes with this die.  We die cut the Whisper White image, then cut a layer of Early Espresso card stock to go underneath.  

We used the Early Espresso Seam Binding Ribbon to tie around the box (use a little Tear & Tape on the sides to help hold it in place).

I'm currently trying to recover from a summer cold that's been holding on for about 10 days now.  I haven't had a cold in a long time, so I think it knew I didn't have workshops or classes going on this past week and decided to hit during my downtime, which is good and bad.  Anyway, I think I'm on the upswing and hoping to finally get some things accomplished over the next few days.

I have a couple more Sprinkles of Life project to share with you today.  The first one also uses the Tree Builder Punch and I love the colors of Soft Sky and Soft Suede together. 

I used Soft Suede ink and a little retired DSP from the Occasions Catalog with Soft Sky.

The second project is made with one of our Crumb Cake Note Cards.  I also used Wild Wasabi, Whisper White & Real Red card stock with Early Espresso Ink.  

I used a circle framelit to cut out the partial circle, then stamped the leaves on the extra and cut out a little next.  The bird is punched with the Tree Builder Punch and I used some Burlap, Gold Sequins & White Satin Ribbon for the staple embellishment.  I drew some stripes with the Real Red Marker on the White Satin Ribbon for a little extra color.

I hope everyone had a happy Independence Day, and are having a well deserved day of rest before your week begins.  June 30th marks the end of the Stampin'Up! year and we'll be having a transition period before our new fiscal year starts on October 1st to incorporate the rest of the countries now a part of our company.  I set business goals for myself each year and really try to work on those throughout the year.  I wanted to thank all of my customers, downline members, friends and family for helping me to attain most of those goals this year.  Nope, I didn't win the Mediterranean cruise, but I was fortunate enough to earn the last weekend getaway event that Stampin'Up! will be offering. So, in September, John and I will be flying out for a long weekend in New Port Beach, CA - woohoo! That means a trip to see our oldest daughter Kim and John's  brother Chris.  I can't wait!!!  Thank you so much for all your help in getting us there. I'm also hoping to reach a big career milestone in sales by the end of July, so we'll be having some fun workshops and a paper purse class this month.  I hope to see you all at one of the events on my calendar!

My project today is a fun stair step card using the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and Tree Builder Punch.  I used our new Delight Dijon card stock and Envelope Paper as well.

I used Chocolate Chip ink to stamp everything and the ice cream colors are Pink Pirouette, Mint Macaron & So Saffron. I colored the cone with the Dijon marker and added a Red Glimmer cherry on top.  

Here's a side view to show you the fun stair step fold.  I'm hoping to start working on some videos soon and will add this to my list.

Shaking it up and Friendly Wishes!

Happy 4th of July everyone!  I hope you have a safe and fun celebration!!!  I have a couple more projects to share today.  The first one is a fun shaker card we made at our Sprinkles of Life class.  I used Cucumber Crush & Tangerine Tango card stock with a little Whisper White for the background.  I used the Tree Builder Punch for the top of the cupcake.

This is the first card I envisioned when I saw the stamp set.  How could you not have a shaker card filled with sprinkles?  The bottom of the cupcake is stamped on DSP from the Cherry on Top stack.  I used the Large Polka Dot embossing folder on the card base for a little added texture.  

The second project is from Crew Stamper JoAnn Graham.  She used the Friendly Wishes stamp set and the Cherry on Top DSP stack as well.

Isn't this adorable?  The card fits right in the little envelope.  

Here's a close up of the pocket.  She used the Tree punch to cut the banners and the hearts are from the Owl Builder Punch.  I love how she sewed the banners on the pocket.  The little rhinestone adds just a touch of bling.  

Here's a close up of the card.  She used the Watermelon ink to stamp  the words and colored in part of them.  She punched hearts out of a strip of card stock, then trimmed out the negative image for the card.  LOVE IT!!
