This is our final day of the Hoop La La Showcase!  I thought it would be fun to finish up with a wedding card.  This could easily be an anniversary, birthday or baby card.  As I mentioned earlier, I love pink and gray together.  This could be adjusted to fit any color scheme.

Supplies:

Hoop La La and Curly Cute stamp sets
Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla card stock
Fan Fair DSP
1" Square and Scallop Square punches
Pearl Basic Jewels
Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon
Basic Gray ink and Stampin'Up! Markers

Tip:  To make a long narrow scallop border, punch several scallop squares and overlap to fit the length you need.

Today's post is a scrapbook page using the Hoop La La stamp set and the Fan Fair DSP.  I'm not much of a scrapbooker, but I know some of you are, so I'll try to do a scrapbook page for each stamp set showcased.  Before I started stamping 10 years ago, I used to scrapbook all the time.  My goal this year was to finish Kim's scrapbooks before she graduated from college.  Well, I sorted the photos I already had, downloaded and had printed a box full of new photos from jr high, high school and college, ordered supplies and stocked up on card stock, and that's where it ended.  Fortunately, she's now in grad school, so I have a 2 year reprieve.  I need table space, so I think I'll just organize until Jackie goes to college, then take over her room for the "scrapbook" station.  Don't tell her that though!!!

Supplies for this scrapbook page:

Hoop La La stamp set
More Mustard 12 x 12, Island Indigo and Very Vanilla card stock
Fan Fair DSP
1" Square and Postage Stamp punches
Stampin'Up! Markers

I really like quick and simple pages for my scrapbooks and I also try to keep them fairly flat so I can fit more in an album.  This page would go great in one of our 12" x 12" Linen Ring Albums. I really love the ring binders since it's SOOOOO easy to open and add more pages!

The new Fan Fair Designer Series Paper is so versatile!  I'm using the measuring tape and one of the lace images to go with the Hoop La La stamp set (Welcome Home image).  Other images on the papers include keys, the Eiffel Tower, bicycles, fans, tags and more!  This is a major quick and easy card to make.  I've cut out the hoop with thread image before putting it on a 2" Island Indigo circle.

Supplies for this card include:

Island Indigo, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock
Fan Fair DSP
Hoop La La  stamp set
Big Shot, Circles #2 Die (2" circle)
3/8" Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon
Pearl Basic Jewels
Stampin'Up! Markers

TIP:  When coloring on stamps with markers, use the side of marker (not the tip), then huff on the image right before stamping.

I also wanted to share an undertaking that Kim took on for her new home will she's in Tallahassee.  She took fabric (non Stampin' Up! I'm afraid) and used liquid starch to apply it to her walls.  This is a great idea for rental homes where you can't change anything.  It pulls right off and you just wipe down the walls.
Before - the wall was painted navy blue.

Most of the way finished.  Roll starch on the wall, then press the fabric down and roll starch over the fabric.    She used some thumb tacks to secure in place until dry.

The finished wall.  She has several 50's decorations from her last film, so that's the theme of the room.

Other side of finished wall - desk and crafting area.

Here are a few more photos of her rental house.  Her other 3 roommates didn't bring a lot, and of course, Kim must travel with 2 full vehicles and a U-Haul full of furnishings, so we decorated the living/dining area with film posters and other paraphernalia.  Just fitting for 4 graduate students in the film department.

Kim with her Grandparents.

The much loved marquee we saved from an out of business video store and what better poster to have in it?

Today's post features a 3" x 3" note card with a matching envelope.  The card features the "hello" image from the Hoop La La stamp set.

Supplies for this card and envelope include:

Summer Starfruit, Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla card stock
Comfort Cafe DSP
1-1/4", 1-3/8", Scallop Circle punches
3/8" Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon
In Color Dahlias
Stampin'Up! Markers

How cute is that?!  My favorite part is the matching envelope made from the Comfort Cafe DSP.  I just used one of our Square Envelopes as a pattern.  Traced it on the DSP and cut it out - easy as pie!

I also thought I'd share a couple of the great swaps I received at our Christmas in July swap.

From one of my downline and longest stamping customer, Janet Hathcoat.  This card uses the Evergreen stamp set from the Holdiay Mini Catalog.

A fun fold card from another downline Demonstrator, Martha Anderson.  Martha used the First Christmas stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

This week's Showcase Stamp Set is Hoop La La on page 111 in the 2012-2013 Catalog.  I love this adorable set!  The first card I made was for the SUDSOL Sketch Challenge:

Sketch#149

So here's my Hoop La La card:

The supplies I used for this card were:

Island Indigo, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla Card stock
Fan Fair DSP
Hoop La La stamp set
Antique Brad
Victoria Crochet Trim
Stampin'Up! Markers
Simply Scored

To make this fun fold card, I took a sheet of 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Island Indigo card stock and scored it at 2-1/8" and 6-3/8", then folded the sides in.  The panels were 5-3/8" x 2" on each side for DSP.

This set is a must for avid cross-stitchers, but fun for everyone else as well.  Hoop La La is one of our Elements stamp sets.
