This was one of our shoebox swap cards from Convention.  It was designed (and mostly made) by Sam Slimak.

Sam used a lot of techniques on this card.

The images were stamped with Black StazOn ink, then a resist was used with either white crayon or Versamarker to highlight the images.  Pool Party ink was then brayered over the stamped images, then wiped off the masked areas to reveal the white underneath.  He then used 2-Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter over the images.  The edges of the torn embossed pieced were sponged.

Katie and I drove to Memphis yesterday to purchase some Asian staples for the Hostess Tea.  We spent over an hour in the market and here's the result. She's trying out some test recipes this week.  I've already finished the name tags and done my online ordering for the Tea.  Can't wait!!!!

Since this is the really the last week of the fall season, I thought I'd share some fall themed cards that no one has seen yet.  Most of these are swaps I received from other Demonstrators.  The first couple use the French Foliage set.  This is my favorite of the fall/leaf sets.

This is a great set for a collage look.  The Vanilla card stock was stamped with the various images, then cut into 4 squares then mounted on Early Espresso card stock.

Here's a closer look at the collage images.

This card was designed by Wanda Williams and uses a paper tissue technique.  I'm hoping to have a week of video tutorials next month and will include this one.

This uses the same collage technique, but on tissue paper.  The "Thinking of You" piece was stamped  after stamping on the tissue, so it's showing a lighter image (stamp was not re-inked before stamping).

Here's a closer look at the tissue background - too cool!!!

Tonight starts our Mid-Year Meeting for the NEA District Garden Clubs.  I'm a member, and current President, of the Trillium Garden Club here in Jonesboro.  Our part in the meeting is to host the Creative Evening tonight - what else would we do????   Several of the members stamp with me and we've even had a meeting where we made handmade cards to give to our guest speakers.  Here are a few things that we'll me making tonight.

Handmade name tags for the Trillium Garden Club (Everything Eleanor stamp set).
Note card featuring Betsy's Blooms
Personalized bookmarks using French Foliage & the Lovely Letters Alphabet set.

3x3 note card using Bright Blossoms and the Occasions Alphabet sets.
Fabulous Florets card.

Here is a sneak peek at the amazing Box of Awesomeness.....

I will be taking the Box of Awesomeness with me to every workshop, private class and stamp camp that I have this year.  It's filled with my best handmade cards.   If a current stamping customer brings a "new" friend to try out stamping at a workshop, stamp camp or class, they each get to draw 2 cards from the Box of Awesomeness!  A limit of 4 cards per current customer, but feel free to bring all the new friends you can find (they will still each get to draw 2 cards)!!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and their "new" stamping friends this month!
