A Pop Up Wedding Card....

This wedding card is the last of the projects from our Pop Up Class last month.  It uses some retired DSP and retired set, but you could do this with any stamp set or Designer Series Paper.

Front is pretty, but simple...

...and the inside has the "wow" factor.

Mr. and Mrs...

The last card from our Wedding Card Class is this fun matching towel card.   I used a Tea Lace Paper Doily to make two towels.  The Mr. and Mrs. came from the For the New Two stamp set, but were colored with the Chocolate Chip marker before stamping so only those parts showed.  The hearts are from the Heart Border Punch.

Colors used are Whisper White, Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip.

I love the little Silver Foil towel bar with the Silver Mini Brads.

An elegant wedding card....

Today's card is a beautifully elegant card, perfect for any wedding.  I used Shimmery White card stock for the base, mat and words.  The heart is made with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and has a layer of the Silver Foil underneath.  The words are heat embossed with Silver Powder and there are some Rhinestones for just a touch more bling.

The heart was cut first out of the top layer, then another Dazzling Diamonds heart was cut and inserted in the space.  

I seem to be missing one Rhinestone here, but you get the idea.  This card is super sparkly and elegant in person.  I love how the Silver Foil shows through. 

The inside was embossed with Silver as well.

Celebrating Marriage....

It's that time of my life when my kids and their friends are starting to think about marriage, getting engaged and starting their lives.  It also reminds me of the years John and I have been together and we should never forget to celebrate our anniversaries.  I have a wedding card class at the end of the month and I can't wait to share those projects with you, but only after the class.  However, I have a couple marriage themed cards to share with you today from our Stamporee.

This first card is for a wedding.  I love this simple two toned card using Very Vanilla and Sahara Sand.  I used the For the New Two stamp set because of the elaborate font and it makes the card so elegant.

I used the beautiful Timeless Elegance DSP pack for the background, added some Sahara Sand Lace Trim and a few Rhinestone jewels to make the card pop.  I used the Lots of Labels Framelits dies to cut the focal point and mat.  This was super simple and quick to make. 

My second card was an anniversary card.  I was inspired by this card from Brian King.  I thought that this was a perfect outside the box anniversary card.

The colors are Pool Party and Chocolate Chip.  I used the World Map background stamp, Beautiful Ride stamp set for the front verse, Project Life Let's Get Away stamp set for the arrows and car/trailer, and then Happy Happenings for the inside - "Happily Hitched".  The hearts started out as Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and I spritzed them with Pool Party ink.

For the New Two!

I hope everyone had a nice Valentines Day yesterday!  I spent the morning in Wynne with a great group of ladies at our monthly workshop, then a quiet afternoon with John, ordered pizza and picked up Samantha from her trip to Russellville for the state Thespian Festival.  She won first place overall with her costume design - woohoo!  Which means she's able to compete at the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, NE this summer.  That should be a fun trip for her.  Here is a photo of her display.  She designed costumes for Much Ado About Nothing, but in a steampunk fashion.  Fun!

I have 4 workshops/classes scheduled for this week - Tuesday through Friday.  We have some winter weather coming in tonight, so if you plan to attend one of those, check your e-mail regularly and I'll update you on the status.  If roads are icy, we will postpone the class and I'll let you know the new date or get with the hostesses and we will come up with a plan.

Today's project is a card using the new "Going to the Chapel" suite in the Occasions Mini catalog.

The Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper is fabulous!  Colors are Sahara Sand and Whisper White.  I really like the Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim that coordinates perfectly.  

I used the Hearts Framelits to cut a window, then 3 smaller hearts put together for a 3D effect and then a tiny Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer heart on top for some sparkle.

An Irresistible Wedding and a new video!

I feel super lazy today, although I cut my projects for the Monday workshop, ran a few errands and did the dishes.  We're going to Samantha's concert this afternoon and I might get some tiles started, but who knows....  I did make a card today for a wedding we have coming up.  It uses the new Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalog.  This paper can be yours FREE with just a $50 purchase!

I used the beautiful new stamp set For the New Two which is perfect for weddings.  My girls are getting to the age where their friends are getting hitched, so I'll be holding on to this one.  

I used the Silver Encore Pad to sponge over the Irresistibly Yours DSP, then wiped it off with a paper towel.  I heat embossed the image with Silver Embossing Powder and colored the flowers with a Pink Pirouette marker (light pink and mercury are some of their colors).  Some Silver Satin ribbon finished off the card.
