We had a fabulous time in Tallahassee this weekend. We had our family, my mother, my father and his significant other and John's brother Chris in town for the festivities. They had 3 panelists on Friday for talks, we had a tour of the film school, attended a wrap party and much more. The best part was Kim's speech and the thesis film screenings. A very talented group of filmmakers. The 3 guests were a major cinematographer, an award wining sound editor and the director of The Maze Runner, Wes Ball. The are all graduates of the same program. Really interesting on how they got into the business, what they're doing now, how they got their breaks and so on. I've attached a link if you want to hear Kim's speech. She was chosen by her peers to be the student speaker and she got a standing ovation when it was done - yay! I'm also attaching a few photos of the events. I drove Samantha and Katie home on Sunday and the rest will be coming home today. Kim's plan is to do some work on her Etsy store and other film work before leaving for Los Angeles in September. Will be very sad to have her so far away, but super excited for her next great adventure!!!
