How to CASE and a Special Challenge!

What is a CASE?  Copy And Share Everything!  What do you do if you see a card you love, but you don't have the stamp set to make it?  Well, you might go out and purchase the stamp set from me - which is best thing to do - ha.  BUT, let's say you need to make it right now to get in the mail today or you have a birthday party the next day and you can't wait - what do you do?  You CASE that card!  How?

1.  Pick a card that you really like.  It can be the color scheme, the layout, a special technique, or anything that makes the card special to you.

2.  Find similar colors or stamp sets that you can substitute. Find an embellishment you have on hand or a little Washi Tape.

3.  Make the card using the supplies you have and switch out stamp sets, colors or punches to create your own one of a kind card.

I spent the afternoon cleaning up some boxes of kits (some of you lucky ladies will be getting some things for door prizes soon) and other projects that were never finished.  I happened to find a make and take from Convention that I'd never made.  Here is picture of the card we were supposed to make:

This card used the Gorgeous Grunge set and the now retired Hello, Lovely stamp set. 

The supplies were in the package with the instructions, but the Hello, Lovely set is now retired, so what to do?  I have the Gorgeous Grunge set, so I just adjusted the colors a bit and made my own version.

Most of the colors are the same, but I used the new What's Up? stamp set, increased the size of the circle punch and added arrows with the new What's Up Punch.  Super simple and it just took a couple extra minutes to pick out the substitute supplies.
