2 Christmas cards!

Hi Everyone!  Today we have 2 cards from a mother/daughter team.  They were swap cards at the Christmas in August event last Saturday.  This first card is from mom, Deanna Barton.  She used a combination of current and retired products for this fun holiday card.

The paper is Season of Style DSP from last year.  I love how she threaded a strip of the DP through the openings in the Chevron Border Punch.

These awesome Ornament Keepsake Framelits Dies were on the carry over list.  The ornament can also be removed and used as a tag or ornament.
Supplies used:
Word Play stamp set (retired)
Whisper White CS, Season of Style DSP, Vellum CS
Ornament Keepsake Framelits Dies (retired), Chevron Border Punch, Arrows Embossing Folder
Cherry Cobbler ink, Gumball Green Marker, Silver elastic trim (retired), Brights Eyelits (retired)

Daughter Dalynn Turner made this adorable card for her swap.  Can you tell they love their Big Shots?  Dalynn won a Big Shot from me during a promotion.  I think the embossing folders are her favorite.

The DSP is from Season of Style (retired).

Here's a little detail on how cute the Vellum CS looks when run through the embossing folder. Some Rhinestones add just the right amount of pop.
Supplies used:
Real Red and Vellum card stock, Season of Style DSP
Northern Flurry Embossing Folder, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Silver Mini Brads, Riding Hood Red Ribbon (retired)

Here are a few more photos of the sale tables:

Graduation Day!

We're down in Tallahassee for my oldest daughter's graduation.  Kim is graduating from Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts with a masters degree in Film Production with an emphasis on directing.  The graduation ceremony is this afternoon with 2 sets of thesis film screenings to follow.  Kim was chosen by her peers as the class speaker, so I'm excited to hear her speech.  I'll post photos later.  I wanted to share the card I made for her:

I used several retired items (stamp sets, punches, DSP, etc.) but it came out close to the way I wanted.  Thanks for checking in!

Had our end of the year band concert last week with an Americana theme.   Our new auditorium in the Performing Arts Center isn't finished yet and they've gutted the old auditorium, so we were in the field house this year for our concert.  It actually sounded nice, but a bit on the warm side.

Jackie present the directors with their end of the year gifts.  Mr. Warner received a custom made french horn music stand, Mr. Hendrix received a bobble head of himself (a must for every Jonesboro director) and our grad student received a gift card.  Nancy Malcom also made up some photo collages of the seniors and we had them matted and the signed by the kids.

Here are a few punch art cards that are fun for any occasion.  The first one uses the Pennant Parade stamp set and Petite Pennant Builder Punch.

This next card uses a variety of circle punch and a couple others to make an adorable mouse and cheese card.

The card was made by Kelly Mayou.

Here's a close up of the mouse.  It uses the Large Oval, Boho Blossoms, 1/2" Circle and 1/4" circle punches.
This last card was made by Mandy Beliew for one of our Demonstrator make and takes.  She used a variety of Circle punches to make a Leggo themed card.

The words come from the Word Play set retiring at the end of the month.

The larger circle are 3/4" and the smaller are 1/2"

I thought I would share some of the swaps I received at the Regional Seminar.  Today, I'll share my swaps and some that my downline had traded.

We made this card at the Dapper Dad stamp camp, but I liked it so much, I used it for my general swap at the Regionals.

I participated in one organized swap and made 22 of these for the SUDSOL group.
This was Kathy Weston's swap.  She also made us gorgeous gift bags filled with goodies to match!

This swap was made by Christal Schalk.
I don't think I got anyone else's swap, so email me a photo and I'll post it here!

Here's one last swap for today that I wanted to share.  I thought this was a fun and clever card front to go with the Regionals in St. Louis.  It was made by Cheryl Renth.

I love how she added the "Arch" and the river.  FUN!!!

Here are couple more of the great swaps I received:

Designed by Kathy Weston.

Designed by Pam Crane.
Here are a few of the cards we made at Stamporee:

This was a graduation card/money holder we made.  The whtie card stock was cut at 6-3/4" x 9-1/2", then scored at 3-1/2 and 7" to make a trifold card with pocket.
This is the graduation card open.  Stamp sets used were Blue Ribbon and Word Play.

One of the great things about going to our annual Stampin'Up! convention is getting swaps. This was a card we made at the Stamporee, based on a swap I received.  As soon as I find the original, I'll post the Demonstrator's name.  This was the girl version.

This is the boy version of the card.  We used the Two by Two and Itty Bitty Banners stamp sets.

This card was based on another swap I received from Annette Dulin. This card used the Aviary and Pennant Parade stamp sets.

I'm on a roll now.  Two in a row, can you believe it?!  I wanted to share more of the swaps I participated in at Convention.  This card was for the SUDSOL (Stampin'Up! Demonstrators Sharing Online) Card Front Swap.  Supplies include:  Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry card stock, Floral District DSP, Everything Eleanor and Word Play stamp sets, Rich Razzleberry ink, and a Pearl Basic Jewel.  I also made several of these for general swaps.  It's always good to do double duty if possible.

This is another general swap I made.  Supplies:  Baja Breeze, Basic Black & Whisper White card stock, Silver Glimmer Paper, the new Snow Flurry Bigz Die from the Holiday Mini Catalog, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch and a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.  The verse is from the More Merry Messages stamp set.

My favorite swap of the week was the SUDSOL Gift Exchange during our luncheon on Friday.  It's not only my favorite because this was my favorite thing to make (which it was), but because there were some wonderful projects from some very talented ladies.  I decided to make a Christmas shadow box framed art piece.

Thursday evening was the Awards Night, followed by the After Party.  The party included dancing and some great snacks.  Yes, we even managed to get Janet to dance.

We also received a sneak peek at the August recruiting promotion.  Everyone who signs up during the month of August as a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator will receive a FREE Spooktacular Project Kit.
