A Two-Minute card!

You can always use a cute and quick card, right?  Check out this card using our Chevron Border Punch and scraps of our Brights collection card stock.

This is just a one layer card using Whisper White card stock.  I used the Chevron Border Punch to punch out pieces of 5 colors of Brights card stock, then glued one of each color on the card, leaving a space for some fun words.  You could do this with any colors, or just one color and and fun words to fit.  I added 3 Rhinestone jewels for an extra little bling.  FUN!!!!  Just imagine making a great set of these cards for a gift.

We've been playing around with the Triple Layer Stamping Technique recently, so I wanted to share a couple projects with you.  The first is from Crew stamper Mary Harvey.  Her card shows what you can do with a single large stamp.  She used the retired Regarding Dahlias stamp set and heat embossing using Black and White embossing powders.

I love the look of the black and white card and the heat embossing and little tag add just enough accent.  I also love the scalloped card base.  

The second project today is one we made in our workshops this month.  I used the same technique with a collage look using the By the Tide stamp set and a color scheme of Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler and Tip Top Taupe.

Regarding Dahlias...

Our project today is another quick and cute card using the Regarding Dahlias stamp set.

This card is 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" square and a matching envelope was made using the new Envelope Punch Board.  Colors used are Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake.  The Vanilla was embossed with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  

  The tag was cut using the Chalk Talk Framelits and the "i" is dotted with an Early Espresso Candy Dot and Brad Base.  A little knot of 3/4" Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon adds the final touch.

On to our project for today - a lovely thank you card featuring the Regarding Dahlias stamp set. 

For this card, I used Vellum, Whisper White, Basic Black and Crushed Curry card stock.  I stamped the bottom right Dahlia on the front of the Vellum card stock, and then stamped the rest on the back.  Use StazOn ink, allow to dry for a minute, then sponge on So Saffron and Crushed Curry ink in a circular motion.  You can just attach the Vellum to the card front with Glue Stick.  

I added 3 attached pearls and a little piece of Eastern Elegance DSP under the words.

The borders are a little wider that I usually go with so the base of the card is 8-1/2" x 11" folded in half.  The Strawberry Slush layer is 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" and the smaller Whisper White layer is 3-1/2" x 4-3/4".  The strip of DSP is from the Quatrefancy Specialty pack.   The flower was stamped in Whisper White card stock with VersaMark and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  I sponged on Pink Pirouette ink over the flower (in a circular rubbing motion), then lightly added the Strawberry Slush ink in the same manner.  Always start of lightly then you can add more ink if you want it.  I buffed the flower with a paper towel to remove excess ink, then trimmed it out with Paper Snips.  The flower is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals and a little Rhinestone Jewel dots the "i".   Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper 130141 Price: $12.95 Bold and beautiful quatrefoil designs. Today's post features another Regarding Dahlias card.  This is a super quick and simple card that's also very elegant.  

The black and vanilla color scheme adds to the elegance of the card.  The Dahlia and words are stamped in Black StazOn ink.  The DSP is from the Modern Medley pack and a little bit of our Silver Glimmer Paper goes a long way.

The words are punched with the XL Oval Punch and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  A little Rhinestone embellishment offers the perfect touch.

One of my favorite new stamp sets is Regarding Dahlias.  Yes, I have many favorite new stamp sets - I can't help it!!!!  G'me, g'me, g'me - all the new stamps!  So what am I to do when I have a favorite new stamp set?  Have a stamp camp!  Whoot!  Over the next several days, I'll share the projects we completed at the Regarding Dahlias Stamp Camp from last week.  I am sure that this will become one of YOUR new favorite stamp sets as well.

I used Perfect Plum for my card base and then used Perfect Plum DSP from our Regals Paper Stacks.  The card base is 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", and scored at 2-1/8" and 6-3/8".  This makes it a center opening card.  

The verse is stamped in Black StazOn ink on Shimmery White card stock and embellished with a Black Candy Dot.  

The Dahlia was stamped on our Watercolor Paper with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder.  I used 3 shade of purple to watercolor the flower - Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant.  The flower is cut with the Circles Framelits and the larger circle uses the same framelit set and is cut from Elegant Eggplant card stock.
