Christmas Treat Boxes - YES!!!

I love little treat boxes, especially at Christmastime.  I wanted to share two cute ones with you today. The first one is a Santa box using our Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlit Dies and a few punches.

Here is the finished box with the Santa punch art attached.  Adding a touch of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper gives it just the right amount of sparkle.  

Of course, you must have a tag to match.  

A tip for putting these boxes together - take your bone folder and curl up the sides of each piece before putting them together.  The boxes close so much better if you do this.

Our second project today is a Christmas Tree treat box made from the Cutie Pie Thinlit Dies.

Here is the finished box.

The background Designer Series Paper is from the Home for Christmas pack.  I used the A Little Something stamp set for the front tag, punched it with a 1-3/8" Circle Punch, then layered it on a small Gold Doily.  

This is how the box is held together.  I love the Gold Glitter Ribbon!

Normally, the box opens at the end, but I put a tree trunk on the bottom, so I had to come up with a way for the box to open on the side.  

I hope you can read my template.  The box bottom was a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock cut 2-3/4" x 3".  Scored at 3/4" on all 4 sides, then cut two sides to the score line to make tabs.  Miter tabs and assemble.  The solid part of the box is attached to the bottom of the tree with Tear & Tape and the open part faces the table.
