One of my customers asked me to show some tutorials on punched birds.  So, this week, we'll feature a new bird each day.  I'm going to start off with a cardinal.  The colors used on this are Real Red, More Mustard and Basic Black.

Punches used:  Extra-Large Oval, Petite Pennants Builder, Word Window, Modern Label.  Also a uni-ball Signo Gel Pen.

Cut each punched shape as shown.  Discard the shorter piece of the Modern Label, 1/2 of the Word Window and the base of the Petite Pennants Builder piece.  

These are the remaining pieces you will need.  

Glue the Modern Label behind the body for the tail.  Glue the curved end of the Word Window punch as shown.

Trim the Word Window to follow the shape of the head.  

Glue the beak behind the head to line up with the black piece.  Add the wing with a Stampin' Dimensional to pop it up.  Add the eye with the white Gel Pen.  Finished!!! 

This cardinal is the perfect size to add to tags, cards, scrapbook pages - almost anything.  Quick and easy to make.  Finished size is approximately 2-1/2" wide by 1-7/8" tall.
