We had a busy weekend - the girls were all home and John had friends over to watch football on Saturday.  I managed to get a few things done, but am once again playing catch up today.

Look at this gorgeous framed art piece from Laura Diamond.  This was my birthday gift - woohoo!!!  

Laura used the Perfect Peacock stamp set with a retired feather set - don't they match perfectly?  The words are from Work of Art (both sets are on sale this week).  I love the colors!!!!  Thanks Laura!

This is the card Laura made to go with the gift.  She used a Neutrals Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stack piece for the background, retired Glimmer Paper for the bottom layer and a fun retired stamp for the main image.  A few added Rhinestones add extra sparkle.  Love it!

This hilarious card is from Mary Harvey.  She used the retired Party Animal stamp set - lots of great coloring and cutting.  Love it!!!  She used the Hardwood background (on sale this week).  Thanks Mary!  So cute!!!

This adorable card is from Janet Hathcoat. She used one of her Paper Pumpkin kits and changed up the design.  There are soooo many things you can do with those kits.  October's kit should be here any day and I can't wait.  Thanks Janet - so adorable!

This fun card is from Reta Daugherty.  I love the retired Designer Series Paper (sometimes I measure things in my sleep).  The words are from the Watercolor Words stamp set (on sale this week).  I also love the added flower detail - so cute!   Thank you Reta!

This card is also from Reta and was my birthday card.  I love the monochromatic use of color and the great use of her retired products - use those up girls!!!  The retired border punch and ribbon add a great detail.  The words are from the Trust God stamp set (yes, it's on sale this week).  Thank you Reta - lovely!!

I love all the shades of blue in the card with the two-step stamping.  The little bee is a perfect touch - beautiful!!

Today I'm sharing just a few more projects using the Work of Art stamp set.  This first one is a fun birthday card from Crew stamper Cindy A.: 

One of the best things about Stampin'Up! products is how the inks match the card stock!  I love how she blocked color and then used the Elegant Butterfly punch to add that extra layers with some rhinestones to make it pop!

This next card was one we made in our class:

The pallet is made with the Oval Framelits Dies and the L Oval Punch.  The end of the brush is made with the Bird Builder Punch.  

What a fun and fitting card for this stamp set.  Some of the "paint" blotches are stamps with only partial images colored with markers.  

This last project is just a quick and cute tag: 

The top is punched with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and a little Basic Black Chevron Ribbon and White Baker's Twine tops it off.

YES!!! The band competition is finally over and I needed yesterday to recuperate and do some laundry.  We also spent several hours putting the football concession area back in order.  We had a great time and almost everything went smoothly.  What's an event without a few glitches to keep you on your toes?  I'll try to post a few photos tomorrow.  I'm playing catch up today and finishing the Halloween Treat Class projects for tomorrow night - super excited about that class!

I'm sharing a couple more samples using the Work of Art stamp set.  This is soooo versatile, it's a must have in your stamp collection.   The first one is a Christmas card:

The red circles were stamped first on the tree, then I used the 1/2" Circle Punch and added card stock on top.  The star is cut with the Stars Framelits on Gold Foil Paper.  The sentiment is from the Bright & Beautiful stamp set.  Colors used:  Real Red, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Gold Glimmer Paper.  

The second project today is an adorable watermelon card:

The card flips open to show the Whisper White card stock on the inside.  I used a Garden Green marker to color just a little of the big stamp for the watermelon rind.  The watermelon is stamped in Melon Mambo (of course) and I made a little seed stamp with my Crop-a-dile and some scrap rubber.  The sentiment is from the Project Life Remember This stamp set.  Some Sweet Taffy DSP and a few Rhinestones finish off the card.

I spent today getting ready for the Mid-South Marching Classic band competition that our high school hosts each year.  I'm the chair, so I've been doing all my final arrangements this week. Tomorrow we set up at 9:00am, the first band performs at 1:30 and awards will be at 9:30pm. Hopefully, we'll be home by midnight.  If anyone would like to see some fun bands perform (we have 21 scheduled for tomorrow), stop by the Jonesboro High School stadium.  Costs are $6 for adults, $3 for students and 5 and under are free.  The weather should be beautiful, so we're looking forward to it!

Here are a couple more cards using the Work of Art stamp set.  This is sooooo versatile - I almost can't stand it!  This is a fun little boat.  Using the stamps in the set, you can create water, a boat, the flag, sun and clouds.  I used a marker for the mast, but there is a long skinny stamp too (see below)

For a little more dimension, I stamped the flag on the card, then again on scrap card stock and trimmed it out.  I also stamped the heart on scrap and cut it out.  Both are popped up.  

Here's another fun ship card.  Super easy and quick.  I love the little flag detail ribbon at the top.
