Handmade Fall Card Ideas - Day 2 of 5!

Welcome back to another day of Handmade Fall Card Ideas!  Today's theme is "can you say orange?"   I know when I think of fall colors, oranges are in the top five.  Our cards today use orange with other great colors to make these fun autumn cards.

This first card was one we made in classes last month.  I used the Sheltering Tree stamp set and the Cottage Greetings stamp set for the words.  One of my all time favorite colors is Crushed Curry which I used for the card base.  Adding some Tangerine Tango and Early Espresso make the card pop.  I also added some Gold Glimmer Pen to the leaves for shimmer.  For more ideas using the Sheltering Tree stamp set, click here.

Our last card today is from Crew Stamper Lucy Taylor.  Lucy used the Sitting Here stamp set along with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder to create this great scene.  She added a pumpkin on the swing with some twine for a festival fall look.  The Sitting Here stamp set seams to be favorite with several of my downline and customers, but I don't have it yet - why?!  It's now on my list.  Her words are also from the Sheltering Tree stamp set (another favorite).

Swirly Scribbles and Posies...

The Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies are some of my favorite from the catalog.  There are so many ways to use them all.  We made this card at our workshops in August so I wanted to share two ways of making the same card.  I paired the die with the Tin of Cards stamp set (love the font).

The top layer was die cut then reassembled.  The little circle of Red Glimmer paper under the die cut flower gives the card just a little bit of sparkle.  The black and white card with a pop of color makes this really striking.  

Here's the same card with the left panel left off and more black showing.  I love it.  So simple!

Christmas in August projects, part 1...

I have a lot of projects from the event (15 to be exact), so I'll share 5 each day.  We did a few more cards this year and I really loved those.

I used Delightful Dijon, Basic Black and Very Vanilla with the Joyful Nativity stamp set. Some Gold Thread and a Rhinestone add a little holiday shine.   

The new Detailed Santa Bundle is super fun in Basic Black, Whisper White and a touch of Red Glimmer Paper.  I also used the new Red Glitter Embossing Powder, Red Metallic Thread and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the stars.  

This water colored angel from the Wonder of Christmas stamp set makes a beautiful card. I added 1/2 of a small gold Metallic Doily, a 1-1/4" Gold Foil circle and a 1/8" Gold Ribbon bow.  There is also Gold Wink of Stella highlighting the wings.  Colors are Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.   

We used the Festive Stitching Bundle on Whisper White Note Cards for this cute card.  The Gold Baker's Twine, gold accents and gold embossing make this simple, yet elegant.  Colors are Whisper White and Elegant Eggplant.  

The Swirly Scribbles dies are always great for a snowman. Snowman accessories are from the Snow Place stamp set and the JOY is from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits.  I also used the Gently Falling embossing folder on the Soft Sky background.
