Peeking Through...

When I normally design cards, I like  to add at least a couple layers.  You don't always have to do that.  With these two cards, the card base is peeking through the designer series paper.

The DSP is cut 4-1/4" x 4", then cut at an angle to allow a space for the sentiment.  A couple punches, a small die cut butterfly and some Gold Thread finish it off.  

For this card, the DSP is cut 4" x 5-1/4" then cut on the right side just over half way in, then folded over.  This allows some room for the sentiment, Then a flower for embellishment.
