Christmas In August and Christmas Tree Swaps!

We had our annual Christmas in August event on Saturday and had a wonderful turn out.  I spent yesterday working on kits for those who couldn't attend, or had to leave early and am finishing those up later today.  I wanted to share some photos along with some of our great swaps featuring the Tree Punch.  For some reason, I didn't get a photo of all the great food everyone brought.  We had a table and every counter in the kitchen covered with food, desserts and crock pots.  Thank you ladies for a wonderful buffet!

The door prize tables

The sale tables, although this was after some shopping was done.
We had 24 participate in the swap, which is the most we've ever had.  All the swaps were fantastic, so I'll be sharing them over the next few days.  The group I'm showing today all used the Tree Punch from the main catalog.

Doesn't this look like a fun group?

This was our table of swaps!

This card was made by Stephine Stallings.  I love the punch out piece and then the popped up piece overlapping.  The background is also covered with raised trees for a fun effect.

Jordan Brooks made this fun card using non traditional colors and the Bohemian Designer Series Paper.  The card makes a bold statement with lots of fun (and a little bling too).

Jamie King used the punch with the coordinating Festival of Trees stamp set.  I like the 3 images from the stamp set and the center is punched and raised for a nice focal point.  Love the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper too!

Kathy Weston used the punch with the new Lots of Joy stamp set in the Catalog.  I love the idea of using the tag for her main images with some of the Merry Moments DSP in the  background.

The final card today is from Sue Warrington.  Sue used the Festival of Trees stamp set as well.  I love the bright use of Pacific Point with some of our retired Gumball Green card stock (I'm guessing).

The words are embossed with Silver Embossing Powder which goes will with the Silver Glimmer strip on the card front.  Sue loves the embossing!
Come back tomorrow for some more great ideas and photos from our Christmas in August event.
