Yesterday I went to a bridal shower about 1-1/2 hours out of town, then a show in Paragould and didn't get home until 10:00, so needless to say, I didn't get anything done yesterday.  Today is cleaning, laundry, planning out the week, cutting the supplies for our Sheltering Tree class on Tuesday and then hopefully getting all the photos into the slide show for Samantha's 18th birthday.  I've done this for all the girls and she's the last one.  I'm about 1/3 of the way through it, then we have to add music and do the finishing touches.  After that, I'll be working on our band yearbook - ugh!  That will take the majority of my spare time this month, but it will be worth it - I hope.

Here are some day 2 photos of our trip.  We got up early and went to the Statue of Liberty, visited the 911 museum and memorial, then walked down Wall Street, toured lower Manhattan, shopped in China Town, dinner at La Nonna in Little Italy and then saw the Lion King on Broadway.  IT WAS A FULL DAY!!!  I'm hurting just thinking about it.

Walking through Battery Park with the snow on the trees - beautiful!

Part of a sculpture from the twin towers in the park now, but will be moved soon to the new museum area.

On the ferry over to the Statue of Liberty.

The tall building is the new One World Trade Center.  They are still working on rebuilding, but this tower is gorgeous.

This is a wall of tiles where people were trying to create the shade of blue they remember the sky being when the towers fell.  Remains are interred behind this wall.  Very moving.

These 2 water features are tiered and are located at the site of each tower and around each are the names of everyone who perished that day and the previous attack at the trade center.

Shopping in China town.
