The Crew Quarters

Second day in sunny San Diego!  We had a great day yesterday and spent the morning on board the USS Midway.  Thought we'd only spend a couple hours, but ended 4-1/2 hours!  Soooo cool.  We walked down to the harbor, then toured the ship, ate lunch on the ship and then walked back to the hotel.  We had a trolley tour on the way to Old Town in the afternoon, walked a bit around there and saw the Mormon Battalion Museum (which was interesting since we had just seen the Mormon headquarters, etc. in SLC).  Dinner at Dick's Last Resort, then to bed early.  Must have walked about 6 miles yesterday.  Today we are taking the Surfliner train to San Juan Capistrano and meeting John's brother for the day.  Won't be home until about 11pm.  Here are a couple photos from yesterday.

This was a memorial to Bob Hope and his service to the USO.  John and I saw Bob Hope perform in college at the Gator Growl.
