Today's post features a tutorial on making a cute bird (not really a specific type, but it's fun).  I used our new In Colors - Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit, along with Whisper White and Basic Black.

Punches used:  1-3/8" Circle, 1" Circle, 1/2" Circle, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (Circle), Owl Builder (medium eyes and small heart), Bird Builder (wings), Boho Blossoms (large and medium flowers).
Cut the 2 flowers as shown.
Assemble the head by gluing all 3 eye layers and the heart is the beak.  Assemble body as shown.
Add feet and head feathers, then attach head to the body.  Highlight the eyes with the uni-ball Signo Gel Pen.

Punches are a quick and easy way to add interest, dimension, and color to your cards, tags, and scrapbook pages. You can glue punched shapes directly onto your projects or layer a sheet of card stock that has been punched over a coordinating card stock for a reverse effect. In one quick move, our Two-Step Owl punch cuts out all of the pieces you need to build an owl. It couldn't be easier to create a great accent or focal point: just punch and then layer the pieces.

■ Includes an owl body, detailed eyes (not just one circle size but three so you can create dimension), and a small heart
■ New, sleeker body style
■ Larger surface area offers precise cutting and leverage
■ Locks to store
